Hello, I'm Jason Farnacci, and my journey in the world of journalism, public relations, and marketing began at Half Hollow Hills High School East. Driven by a passion for storytelling and media, I pursued a degree in Public Relations at the University of South Carolina, complemented by a minor in Sports and Entertainment Management. My academic journey was enriched with skills in marketing and digital media, preparing me for a dynamic career in this field.
During my college years, I spent my summers working at Jones Beach Amphitheater, where I honed my customer service and problem-solving abilities. My responsibilities included ticket sales, managing artists' will call and VIP services, and resolving technical ticket issues. This hands-on experience was instrumental in developing my ability to effectively communicate and collaborate within a team, enhancing my workplace communication skills.
In my most recent role as an intern with Pocket FM, an audiobook company known for its captivating series in genres like drama, horror, and action, I had the opportunity to work with an international team. I played a key role in creating engaging content to promote the company's brand and new releases. This experience significantly boosted my expertise in digital marketing and social media marketing, and I developed a keen understanding of the art of storytelling and brand promotion.
Looking ahead, my career aspirations are firmly rooted in the world of public relations and marketing. I aim to merge my passion for videography with my love for sports by working in sports marketing or sports media. I envision myself creating compelling visual content for a sports team, leveraging my skills in social media to engage and grow a dedicated fanbase. My ultimate goal is to combine my enthusiasm for sports and media into a fulfilling professional career, where I can continue to tell powerful stories and connect with audiences on a deeper level.
